Reasons for using enterosorption in medicine.
In 80s medicine started to use (for the sake of organism detoxication, when curing infective illnesses, food intoxications, burns, hepatic and nephric insufficiency, except infusion therapy) natural sorbents (fibre, chalcoal, loam alumosilicates). In 70-80s also methods of hemosorption started to be developed.
Since 1979 enterosorbents have been actively developed, which have better qualities:
- they are no harmful to stomach and intestinal mucosa (charcoal produces in short time intestinal atonia)
- they do not require surgery operation (like e.g. in the case of hemosorption)
- they function without direct destructive contact with biological organism liquids, like blood and lymph
- they reach practically the same results as hemosorption in already three or four days of usage.
![]() Hydrophobic sorbents: After 6 months of using SANOGEL no side effects have been found. |
![]() Hydrophilic sorbents: (Charcoal, Aerosil etc. after 15 days of usage clog up diffusibly mucosa surfaces, causes intestinal atonia) |
Characteristics of SANOGEL - hydrophobic sorbent with porous matrix and globural structure.

Porous composition and organophil attitude determine unique Sanogel characteristics (usage inwards does not harm mucosa, does not load digestion, after 6-7 hours is secreted out of organism in stool).
Toxicity tests did not reveal any undesirable or toxic effects.Sorption activity is several times higher in comparison with concentrated fibre and charcoal.
Sectivity of sorption characteristic of Sanogel enables to eliminate from organism only middle-sized moleculs of metabolites with molecular mass from 70 to 10000 daltons (creatinine, urea, bilirubin, middle-sized peptides, cholesterol, triacylglycerols etc.).
Favourably affects intestinal microflora – actively absorbs 10.000.000 high adhesive germs on one square milimeter of surface (shigella, salmonella etc.).
Cultivation of lightly adhesive germs (lactobacillus, bifido bacteria) are not suppressed in Sanogel presence.
